14,000 visitors celebrate the 25th edition of "Klassik am Odeonsplatz"
Munich, July 13, 2026: Two sold-out concert evenings, 14,000 enthusiastic attendees, and fantastic summer weather: The 25th edition of Klassik am Odeonsplatz was a huge success. Against the unique backdrop of Munich’s Odeonsplatz, two top-notch concerts provided memorable musical experiences and a special atmosphere.
On Saturday, Sir Simon Rattle, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and pianist Kirill Gerstein kicked off the anniversary weekend with a rousing Gershwin program. On Sunday, the Munich Philharmonic, conducted by Lahav Shani, delighted the audience alongside Spanish violinist María Dueñas, who stepped in at the last minute for Janine Jansen, who was ill. Both soloists made their debut at Klassik am Odeonsplatz.
